Olá Y'all!
This
was a pretty basic week! But 3 of the friends that we are teaching are
moving to other areas, but that's alright because they still want to
learn more. And the two people I mentioned last time will be baptized
this upcoming weekend! Woo hoo!
This
week we did a lot of service! I have never seen so many leaves in my
life! We had like 7 piles that were just enormous! And they were all
different colors! My favorite trees are the red and purple ones. They
stand out so much and always catch me by surprise!
I
also have to say that Elder Hathway has done a great job of keeping me
on my portuguese study! Sometimes I don't like it but I am grateful to
him for the progress he has helped me to make.
This
week a scripture that seemed to be coming back to mind time and again
is 1 Nephi 3:7. It says "And it came to pass that I, Nephi, said unto my
father: I will go and do the things which the Lord hath commanded, for I
know that the Lord giveth no commandments unto the children of men,
save he shall prepare a way for them that they may accomplish the thing
which he commandeth them." This scripture has taught and inspired me to
do so much more. I know that when God tells us to do something he will
provide a way! Even when we dont know how it could possibly happen or be
achieved, He does and He will help you get there.
This is all for now!
Now it is time for pictures! Yay!
1. This may not look like a lot of leaves, but this is maybe 1/10 of the leaves in this yard. Maybe. But it was so great!
2.
A picture of Elder Hathway and I studying. We took the picture for a
story that will come up on the church of Jesus Christ in Topeka page!
You should like the page so that you can catch the story which will come
up soon! The link is: https://www.comeuntochrist. org/belong?y_source=1_ MTQ1MTIxMzAtNDQwLWxvY2F0aW9uLn dlYnNpdGU=
3.
Some language study. One of the elders was called to serve in South
Africa so he is focusing on learning Zulu for now. We are adding spanish
the next time we write the words up there.
This is all for now! Feel free to email me if you would like or if you have any questions!
Com muito amor,
Elder Sant
Acreditar. Amar. Fazer.
