Oi! Tudo bem!
This
week was pretty great! To start off, we stayed in quarintine for a few
days, but our time ended and my comp still felt sick, so we went back to
taking turns staying with him while 2 of us elders left. But eventually
he got better and we were able to leave to our area!
By
the time we could leave to our area, it was saturday. And the elders we
have been staying with had a baptism, 6 baptisms really and Elder
Ossovski and I had helped prepare these people for baptism for the last
two and a half weeks! So we decided we would help them take that last
step into the water. So we stayed and helped with the baptism, and gave
talks and I have to say, that since that baptism, since that day I have
had many conversions with brazilians all by myself! It has felt pretty
good to be able to build a relationship with someone without having
another person to help me along! That is something that did not happen
before the baptism. The spirit has been so strong and I have definitely
seen the gift of tongues take affect in my life and the life of others!
It has been absolutely amazing! I loved helping with the baptism and
feeling the spirit and the love of the savior that each of these people
have! It was amazing!
And
then Sunday we moved back into our area! And our congregation meets at
night at 5, so we worked all day to get people ready to go to church and
we had a very warm welcome when we arrived. Satélite is an absolutely
amazing area! I love everyone here.
So
yesterday we had to go visit someone on the other side of our area and
we were going right before church so that we could get them a ride with a
member to church. But as we were walking there the rain started to
pour, so we waited, but eventually we ran out of time so we had to book
it through the rain. So we walked through the rain down the muddy roads
for probably 30 minutes and then we arrived and the person wasn't even
home. So then we had to walk all the way back to our chapel, a good 30
minute walk from their house. So we started and the rain was started to
really come down. We stopped again for a few minutes, but we needed to
leave to make it to the chapel for church! So we walked the rest of the
way in the rain, the pouring rain and thunder to the chapel. We arrived
soaking wet, but the members welcomed us with open arms! And they loved
hearing from us and talking to us and it was was just wonderful! I love
it so much!
A scripture
with a promise that I have seen fulfilled a lot this week is Ether
12:27! Please go look it up if you don't know it. I have seen that in my
most humble moments, the moments where I know I can't go on without
help from God, that He is there and he lifts me up and it all ends up
better than I could have thought! Because our God is truly a God of
Miracles!
Alrighty, I am out of time, so it is time for pictures!
1.
Got this picture of the other elders teaching someone that Elder
Ossovski and I talked to and started to teach. But we had to run to
another lesson, so they finished teaching them. And two of those people
are now Baptized!
2. Wonderful meal from members!
3. And another great meal. The food here is wonderful! They make look similar but they are different and good!
4.
Forgot to send this a few weeks ago, but Açai! It is so good! It is out
of season now, but it will be in season in like a month and I am so
excited!
5. Yesterday after about 5 minutes of light rain
6. After about 20 more minutes of rain. I love the rain! Especially here because it cools things down.
This
is all for now! Feel free to email me if you would like or if you have
any questions or people to pray for! Hope y'all have a great week!
Com muito amor,
Elder Sant
