Week 43 Salina

Olá Y'all!

This week was a wild week! To start off, I am not yet in Brazil. They had complications with my yellow fever vaccine so they canceled my flights on Thursday and moved me back to the 8th. So if all goes well this time then I will be getting to Brazil this upcoming Thursday!

In the meantime though I have been working in the Salina area! It is pretty much the middle spot between the two areas I served in, Topeka and Hays. It is great and I love it here! The other elders are awesome, and so young on the mission! One of them has been here 3 months, and the other one for about 3 days! And then we had a 4th elder join us who is going to Columbia on the 8th! He is awesome and has only been out for a little over a month. They are all awesome and it has been great serving with them!

This past weekend was General Conference and it was amazing! All of the addresses had wonderful things to learn from! A general theme that I felt from the Conference was trusting in God. Trust in Him and His eternal purposes. We will all have to go through trials and we will all fail, but "because of Jesus  Christ, our failures do not have to define us. They can refine us." (Elder Dieter F Uchtdorf) Things will not go according to our plan or timetable but they are going according to someone who is much wiser than all of us, and for that I am grateful!

Alrighty, I am out of time, so it is time for pictures!

1. A hill overlooking Salina!

2. A super cool Masonic Temple that I may get a tour of before I leave!

3. The old Hays district getting breakfast at IHOP before some of us left. Love them all so much! They are awesome!

4. Downtown Salina
